Our story

InkBlot Films began in 2011. Based in Yorkshire, we focus on the people behind the business, getting to the heart of what you do.

Our artistic backgrounds make us look at the world differently. Many of our films step ‘through the looking glass’, interpreting your message through an unconventional lens to make it stand out.

Corporate responsibility

InkBlot Films is proud to work pro bono for charities such as CALM and IDAS. Community development projects and youth work are particularly close to our hearts.

Jay Sillence

Jay has been taught by the best. Some of his tutors at the University Of Central Lancashire included animators who worked on Spitting Image, Aardman Animations and even the iconic Peter Gabriel Sledgehammer music video.

As well as animation, Jay is also a trained illustrator, sculptor and photographer. Jay takes pre-production to the next level. By playing around with ideas for music or a provocative angle, he paints a vivid picture of the video before shooting even begins.
